I found Delsion 10 years ago following a successful career in Human Resources and Learning & Development. I became disabled in 2005 and my experiences led me to want have the greatest impact possible on removing the barriers disabled people face in the workplace. My mantra to the organisations that we work with is that if the work around creating effectively inclusive cultures is that if what you’re doing doesn’t have a direct and positive impact on disabled people, don’t do it. Being involved with the Power 100 and initiatives such as the Valuable 500 is a huge motivator as it gives an insight into what we can achieve together a community. Recent success include the work that we’re doing around inclusive recruitment practises, working to reduce the bias in AI, how best to support neurodiversity and the transition from education into the workplace and we’ve developed a whole programme around creating the most inclusive experiences and environments for the travel and tourism industries. Our future plans include more support for disability and enterprise and making Wales the leading nation for the inclusion of disabled people within the workplace.

Having been previously included in the Disability Power 100 and now having the privilege of being a judge I know that this is one of the most powerful platforms of recognition and achievement for disabled people. It’s a beacon to amplify positive advocacy and the breadth of fantastic achievements taking place across our community
