“I stand on the intersection of ADHD, cis femaleness and whiteness. I’ve very aware that the difficulties I experienced at school would have led to more damaging social exclusion had I been born in a different family. I’ve been determined to use my privilege to go where there is no path and leave a trail, so that other people with hidden disabilities are more empowered, more valued and more able to fulfil their potential in society. Inclusion is a social, moral and economic imperative. We all lose when human potential is squandered.”
