Simon Sansome is a Journalist, TV Writer, Producer, Podcaster and Disability Campaigner.

A documentary of Simon’s life from when he became disabled in 2014 to his life today is currently in production. The documentary will cover mental health, disability discrimination and the issues that have affected him as he has gone from fully mobile to being disabled for life.

In 2016, two years after becoming disabled, Simon set up Ability Access on Facebook to promote disability awareness, education and information videos. It is now the most read disability page in the world and has around 85,000 followers worldwide.

Simon also has a blog page Abilityaccess.blog and a joint podcast which he produces and co presents with TV celebrity Adam Pearson and two other chaps. ‘The Grumpy Gits’ has already had over 300,000 hits.

Simon is part owner of a production company called Branded Studios along with award-winning director, Charlotte Fantelli and Sunday Times Rich List Accountant/Racing Driver, Simon Dolan. Branded Studios has worked with the likes of Sir Patrick Stewart and Sylvester Stallone. It currently has a number of TV in production, including Sun Hill which is a spin-off from ITV’s ‘The Bill’.

Just over a year ago Simon was elected to the committee of the National Trust. He is working with the Trust to make visiting their venues more accessible for the disabled community.
